STATEMENT

Photography as a fine art has a peculiar connection to the real world. My intention is to explore depictions of reality (worth contemplating because they are real) while acknowledging the mysterious relationships of what I see. Through photography I address the known and unknown aspects of reality, of nature and our built environment, with uncertain meaning – something paradoxically as real as the physical thing pictured.

Technical mastery of digital printing allows me to present my version of the world on a piece of paper. I make my own digital photographic prints using fine archival materials.
