Strangeness of Seeing
The nature-based imagery is grounded in common reality and composed in camera. I alter tonal values digitally, working with the image as if it were an abstract painting. Strangeness of Seeing is offered as two Limited Edition books. All prints in the book were made by the artist on Hahnemühle Rice Paper.
The handmade book set of the Strangeness of Seeing project is available in two volumes. The larger book contains all the horizontal images in the series, and the smaller book shows the vertical images. Full-bleed prints allow the viewer to be immersed in the imagery.
The larger book is a Limited Edition of ten, made to order. One is available now. Closed book is 18 inches high by 13.5 inches wide; each image is a full spread, 18 x 27.
The smaller book is a Limited Edition of ten, available now. Closed book is 17.5 inches high by 6 inches wide; each image is a full spread, 17.5 x 12.
(+1 AP of each book)
The series of 42 images was produced in 2016.
